If you look at the euro TUV specs most pass cars service intervals are 10k,and diesels 15k..and our fuel is much cleaner burning.Like the man said 90% of the answers to the questions are $$$.

Craig,I use mobil one on mine and service it every six months, figure it's better for acid and moisture considering it has whopping total of 35 miles at three years old.I do run it for 30 min every month, but I live at 2500 ft and the air is quite dry.As you know mine sat in a garage in N.C. for the first 18 mos of it's life,I serviced it when I took delivery and there was quite a bit of silt (assy lube?) at the bottom of the pan.I replaced the AC filter with a Donaldson synthetic..not cheap at fifteen bucks, but if General Dynamics thought enough of them for they're M1 Abrahms desert battle tank fleet..

Mike...your point is well taken. Indeed, the fuel that is available to USA consumers seems to be a cut above what the rest of the world gets. Of course, additives can make or break the fuel we buy. Correct me if I'am wrong please.

I see no advantage in using full synthetic oil in show/storage cars. As has been said, milage matters, show/storage doesn't. I have yet to see a oil analysis that disputes this. Of course, I'am open to other knowlegeable replys.

Anyone else care to chime in on this one?
