Seems like CNN finds it interesting too. This was on today's CNN home page:

Well guys, to my dismay the Coffin car was at the auction for display, it belongs to the Trading Post in Muskegon Michigan, he wont sell it at the present time. The auction was disorganized so it did not do well, who ever heard of running three lanes at a classic car auction? There were a few nice cars in attendance but very few hit reserve, very few of the attending crowd even knew what a ZL-1 was, let alone the value. But, we had fun anyway, anybody that knows how to post an attachment here let me know and I will send you a photo of the Coffin car so it can be posted.

Also, as for details, it turns out Barris built two of these, one as the TV car and one as a back up and for display purposes. If you notice the handles on the coffin in the original photo early in this thread, then look at the handles in this photo. The original had functional handles, these are moulded to the body. Also, the original had chrome air scoops, these are painted. The back up car recently sold at an auction in Florida to the current owner for $46,000 and change. So what I want to know, where is the original? Barris still have it as he does the original Batmobile? Anyone have insight on this? I want the real deal.
Thanks, Motown
