There is a Chevrolet Orange rattle can from Details that has a nice finish. Not real shiny. I think the look is very good...BKH

I also like the Details paint. All the others I tried were either too red or too orange or too glossy.

Here's what a few of us in SoCal have been using. It is called "AERVO" and I have only seen it in one place... an obscure place called Vellios Automotive Machine Shop on Manhattan Beach Blvd., in Lawndale CA. It is AWESOME. Absolutely identical to the factory hue, inexpensive, and easy to touch up. Men may be color blind, but I want my motor and Chevrolet parts that need to be CHEVY ORANGE, and not red or anything else.

Casey, POR15 makes an engine paint kit for 39.95 and you get plenty to do an engine it is called chevy orange.I just completed my engine in it and it looks great.Has a finish that is very nice! and seems to be much more durable than regular paint. Also it is easy to touch up afterward, and there should be plenty of paint left over.

I believe Dupli color also has a ceramic spray can paint that looks pretty good, I have seen a few like this. We use a single stage urethane with a flattener on our cars.

Hi! Here was my solution to the orange engine paint color needs: I went to the local auto paint store supplier and and had them mix up some orange that matched the 1969 Camaro Ora nge paint color that was used on the body run, had it filled up and charged into spray cans! Worx pretty good for me but make sure you have the proper room and paint can temperature prior to painting this way as well as having the block, etc. up to paintable temperatures.
