I agree with Charley. 1% negative reaction isn't something I'd get too excited about. It almost has to be expected on over 500 transactions. There's always a few people who can't be pleased, or come into the deal unhappy and just want to share it with you.

I would tend to strongly agree with Tom and Charley on the feed back issue, just based on the numbers. I don't know the car or the individual, but I would like to see a copy of the early build sheet.

His ebay offer to get a copy of the build sheet for $100.00 is not bad. I am just too cheap to go the whole hunskie.

I am good for $10.00, now I just need 9 others with $10.00 to join in

OK-Timeout! Again your imaginations are running amuck. Before we chop this car and guy up, HERE'S THE REAL STORY ON THE CAR. I DO MY HOMEWORK.
This car was originally sold at Bob Fram(spelling?) Chevrolet in Spring Harbor, Michigan. It was LEASED to a customer who blew it up after approximately 5,000 miles. It was picked up by Art Moen Chevrolet in Jackson, Michigan. They installed a factory replacement block. It was then purchased by a gentleman and his partner. There is a good reason for the low mileage(which is also legit). The car spent most of it's life drag racing. The car was raced at Indy, Milan, Norwalk, Moroso(for years here), etc. In it's racing form in the 90's the car was black, black convertible top, gold stripes. The car was parked in this color scheme with a 427 race motor in it. It was then sold by one partner to the gentleman that has it on Ebay. I am told if he left the original windshield in it, there is a stone chip that a dragster threw up at it while in line at the strip. So in conclusion-YES, it is a real LS6 convertible- YES, the build sheet is real- YES, it is now the right color- YES,it is a correct but not numbers matching engine- and YES, the car probably has the most interesting history as any of the 23,24,25,26 or whatever you believe exist. I did not obtain this information from the Ebay seller. This information came from the "horse's mouth". If anyone has any more questions on the car or history, I will furnish you with a name and number.

What we would like to see is a copy of the build sheet.

That I can't help you with at this time. However, I received a call from Michigan from someone involved in the car before the current owner and they gave me the history. I just want to satisfy any speculation as to the authenticity of the car. I guess it is entirely up to the current owner as to availability of the build sheet. I looked at the posts on the Chevelle site and they were starting to imply that the car is a fake. It is not.

mc-
I agree. We have all heard the stories of the rare old car stashed away for years that everybody forgot about. That is literally the case here. I have spoken to the previous owner, his best friend, and the current owner. I can assure you that the car is what it is. I even uncovered more interesting facts about the car. I'm confused about the criticism for buying parts on Ebay also. I'm guilty of the same offense. I didn't think it made a difference if you bought a correct part via mail or if you went there in person to pick it up.

Ok Then If you guys want to help maybe you can do this..here is a copy of a remark made by someone who is from some other affiliate,im SURE some of you guys know him...ask him if he has the guts to put up 10000 against the title of my car that the buildsheet is real as he clearly makes reference to doing..i am willing to go for it,so BRING IT ON ,hope hes not a coward...this should end any speculation should he come forward or will he choose to choke on his words and spin this around to save his face and his 10000..well see who "shuts up who"......From: Franklinville, NJ 08322

I have a better idea. If he thinks he is so correct, screw the 10 grand, put up the title for the car . I bet 10 grand that says he won't do that. That's how you shut guys like that up.

I too have re-read this entire post, and can't find any thrashing about you or your car. If you have taken offense to the statements from the Team Chevelle post, then it might be best to take it up on that board. I don't follow any other boards, so if you have already addressed this with the Team Chevelle guys, then disregard my suggestion.

This site is devoted to 'SuperCars', and although an LS6 rag is a rare and desirable musclecar, it doesn't really fit into the scope of this particular site and board. These types of topics arise here because some SuperCar owners also have LS6/LS6 rag cars, but we can't be held responsible for the comments of someone from another 'affiliate'.

Welcome, and best of luck with the car.

YenkoDeuceRegistry, I guess i didn't realize that this site was so narrow minded that you only want posts from "SuperCar" owners. I have gotten some very useful and helpful info on this site but if that is the way you want to run your site then let me know 'cause I know how to say goodbye if "average" guys like myself are not welcome. You can email me privately if you like. Seems like I have noted some haughtiness recently from you.
