Default COPO with - - paint code

This 69 Camaro copo was owned by a friend of mine.I was talking to him sat at a car show here in Savannah. He remembers that the paint code was - -.The car was painted red when he got it.It needed a repaint so he did some scraping and found a green paint under the red.He knows it wasn't rally green but thinks it might have been a frost green or maybe citrus green. We know that frost green was a 69 color so that really didn't jive with the - - on the trim tag.He sold the car to a guy in Lancaster Ohio.I have the guys name but not sure if I should post it here.We would like to know if anyone here knows of this car and what color it was when it left the factory. He does not know the vin of this car.

Rallye, Fathom, and Frost greens were regular colours and had a paint code. One of the most popular greens that were applied with the -- was a very popular green that was called Pontiac Verdoro Green.

I bought the 69 COPO Camaro with the -- paint code from from Bobby two years ago. I have traced it back to it's second owner who lives in Alliance, Ohio. It was sold at Rodenfels Chevrolet in Cleveland, Ohio. It was painted 69 Pontiac Verdoro Green from the factory. The second owner painted it black, which it was when Bobby purchased it. He painted it 69 Corvette Monza Red. I have since stripped it and repainted it the same color.

Welcome ZZMAN, do you live in Ohio? Tell us more about your COPO, O5D or 06A build date X11 OR X44, single or double COPO and any special options like M22 OR NC8?
