An extremely important car that was at the beginning of Chevrolet Performance as we know it.

I believe this is the ex Rich Mason car, which was raced extensively by Rich, later sold by Corvette Mike to Irwin Kroiz and apparently now Freshened/Restored not sure which by Mackay.

----The SR with the smaller fin, which belonged to Richard Fortier (owner of Paragon for a long time) was Jack Douglass's for part of one summer when he was a teenager. Jacks Dad was a prominent GM executive before he founded the Chevy dealer we all know about. He must have had a high standing to just sign that SR out for the better part of a summer!......Bill S
----Not sure if Richard still owns that SR or not. |

I think it had just had a 125K restoration before Irwin got it and apparently it was restored again ?

BTW... I'm sure they must be, but are the screws on the VIN correct? I owned a handful of early vettes and don't recall any like this. |
