I notice different pump mounting bracket, maybe different pump with only one hose connection on the back that goes to the air cleaner base, pass side AIR hose routes under pump and seems to connect to driver side AIR assembly.

If you need smog equipment I have used Bill Hodel for my LS6 & he is the guy for smog equipment. He refinishes original equipment & is very nice. You can find info on him n Hemmings under services.

Thanks Gregg for the photos of your Camaro smog setup. I'll check Hemmings for Bill Hodel as well. Thanks for that too.

I decided to trade my buddy for that complete '67 Impala L35 with the untouched smog system. I told him not to touch it! My 396 needs a rebuild so having the smog setup is a big step in putting things right* under the hood.

*I am of the mindset, after reading replies and looking over that Impala setup that the smog system is, for all intents and purposes, exactly the same as a Camaro's. I seriously doubt that GM would spend the money to have different smog bits/brackets for each '67 L35 application. Is that fair to assume?

I think you're probably correct about this, though I don't know much about the 66-67 systems like I do 68. I can't think of any reason why they would have to be different between the two vehicles. Could you post some detail pictures of the engine assembly for reference purposes? Also, a picture of the engine stamp pad would be great if possible.

I told my buddy not to so much as remove the air cleaner before I can photo-document the whole engine. I'll have him send a pic of the pad.
