Pete, on the inside of the Cragars I know is says something to the effect of &quot; For Drag Racing Only&quot;. The front tires say &quot; Not for highway use, for drag racing only&quot;.

It's stamped on the wheel.

I've often thought that's why they don't make them anymore and also why they went to 4.5&quot; wide wheels as they can be DOT approved then.

Kurt</div></div> I see. I'll have to have a look at my skinnies and see if they have anything stamped on them.
I suspect they don't make 15x4 wheels any more because 15x4 rim shells are no longer available, but I suppose they could make rim shells themselves if they REALLY wanted to.

I spoke with Cragar directly 8-10 years ago when they went to 4.5 and he said due to safety and as other have said dot legal at 4.5

old VW beetle tires are still around but probably all are radials not a good mix with bias rears!

640x15 Goodrich work well on a 69 Camaro. They are just under 27&quot; tall and do not rub when you turn.
Have them on the front of mine.

I've ran the VW tires. Honestly it was because they were given to me. Bit small for most cars.

Sammy is giving you good advice on the 6.40x15. When your tires are scraping and rubbing, it takes a bit of the fun out of your ride. I'm a glutton for punishment though . I run 8&quot; wheels on my 65 Chevelle which is tough on the early A-body. If you go any bigger on your Camaro you'll have to remove the 12 o'clock fender bolt for the wheel well- at a minimum. I do like that oversized tire look!
