I have NEVER seen a reproduction RC 15 that looked right, JMO. OK to use them but you better test them. Mike </div></div> I have to agree with Mike. I had a repop cap on a Chevelle, it got up to operating temp one day and blew the upper radiator hose right off the thermostat cover. The freshly detailed engine compartment was a mess. The hose clamp was tight. Grady had warned me about these caps testing much higher than 15 psi. Just doing a pressure test by hand told me the repop cap was considerably firmer than an original RC 15. FWIW. I have an NOS 227 upper radiator hose and the part number font is similar to the smaller font markings posted by Chris earlier in this thread. Troy, your car looks great. Keep us posted. Phil Woj |
