The Friday Night welcome meeting will feature a movie compellation showing the plant in operation during the 1970's. Primary cars of interest include a 1970 Z28 during assembly at Fisher Body and SS-396 Camaro and Trans-AM 's on the final line over at Chevrolet Chassis.
The "Meet the Makers" Forum discussion Panel will be expanded to four tables this year and the Room PA system will be used. Two roving microphones will be used to gather questions from the car owners and gather answers from other retirees in the room not seated at the tables in the front. Also each participant will receive a complete copy of the 1967 Camaro pilot production specification booklet. This will be the first public release of the car-by-car build data for each pilot built at both NOR and LOS. |

I just selected the video producers that will be doing the official plant history documentary. Yes there will be an upcoming film documentary on the Norwood Plant and its history making operations.
In the tradition of film documentary work pioneered by the likes of Ken Burns- the finished film work will likely appear on either Speed, or the Discovery family of networks when complete. Filming and interviews will begin at the reunion. I am thinking that if you need a display example for how a car was built then the display cars will provide ample backdrop for the stories of what it was like to build them. Phil |

<span style="font-weight: bold">Well....S~~T Happens! This time for the good</span>.
Met Phil at Carlisle SLS and chatted a bit and he convinced me to bring the 69 back to where she was built in Norwood and even ordered from. (Perrysburg, Ohio ~ Schmidt Chevrolet) It worked.....I'm going! Now if I can just convince BWAG to drive 2 hours and get his ass back in the seat after he sold the car in '74, it would be a full circle for 'Ol Yeller.

The two premier restored 70' L-78's will be on hand. Mike Steitz/Forest Green (Missiouri) and Scott Kiehne/Classic Copper (Minnesota) both recipients of LEGENDS awards at the recent 2013 CAMARO Nationals. 70 L-78's are very rare these days
and these two are THE BEST !!! Ron Liebert from PA will have his beautiful Cranberry Red 70 Z-28 there.

This years event has concluded and I wanted to thank all those who attended, especially Jeff with "Old Yeller"
While last year's event greatly exceeded everyone's expectations for employee turn out - the down side was that we actually had a car get scratched last year with people trying to squeeze in to see it. This year was more in line with the initial attendance projections from last year which was steady and consistent all day. The Norwood Workers greatly appreciated seeing all the great cars there and they thank all of you who attended. |
