I swear I have seen a picture of the car somewhere before Burnished brown and gold nova with L88 hood... maybe an old magazine?
Does the car still have the fiberglass hood? Was there an electric fuel pump in the trunk? Who manufactured the Chin spoiler and what years?

I am feeling the same way. At first I thought it could have been this car here:
![]() from over on this thread http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums...378&page=2 They appear to be different cars, as the time lines seem a bit off for the car to have evolved to that state. Best I can do from my phone. I'll need to search my PC to see what I can come up with. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: firstgenaddict</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I swear I have seen a picture of the car somewhere before Burnished brown and gold nova with L88 hood... maybe an old magazine? By the looks of the two long black strips on the pavement I would say this car has been abused! LOL

Cool piece. Appears some things were changed as the frt fenders have no motor call out. Just the marker light unless they filled the holes to make you guess. "yea, it's just a 6 banger".
Frt headlight bezels are non SS but could have been changed out. Is the original rear still in the car? I expect the internals are gone, but would be interesting to see what it was born with. Burnished brown in bc/cc is very cool. Good luck with the project. |

Yes it still has the L88 hood, between 1986 and Sept. 2002 the electric pump/pumps were removed.

Chin spoiler was gone when I found it in 2002. I live about 3.5 miles from the owner that had it between summer 1975 and 1986. He is the one that put it on. I'll ask him if he remembers. Owners between him and I about destroyed it. Air compressor mounted in trunk to make it go up and down. Controls for that mounted to dash. Big blue fuzzy dice, suicide knob on steering wheel, 4 or 5 sets of lights mounted under car to rear end, traction bars. Old house shag carpet put in when they spiled yellow paint. Painted 3 point rollbar in car. Cut holes in good door panels for speakers for the am/fm 8 trackthat was installed. Soon as I can get the pictures put on disc from the day that I found it in 2002 I'll post them. Airshooks were so high that there was at least 5 to 6 inches of clearance between flare and top of tire. As soon as I saw it I knewn it had to be rescued.
