Mark, if your buying look at it as an opportunity. Investing no so much... however just like water front property, ultra rare and iconic cars are virtually inelastic and will always be valuable.

I am 60 yrs old. Last year bought a 72 RS Z28 from a guy a little older than me who had it for 19 years. Sold it to a guy who was older than me. he just sold it to a guy who was 66 yrs old. Was kind of disapointed in the responses I had for a car that only had 2500 made.

I agree with you Steve. I've never looked at old cars and bikes as investments, but I have always thought that they would hold most of their value over my ownership. I suspect that will still be the case, or they might drop 10-20% - which isn't a big deal in the overall scheme of things. The low Canadian dollar affects my purchase timing more than anything else. Almost a $1.40 Cdn today to buy a US buck...makes shopping in the US pretty difficult!

And now for something completely different.
~Toilet paper maker Marutomi Paper Manufacturing which holds 10% of the Japanese market for toilet paper, saw orders jump tenfold from normal levels on Thursday and Friday. The company usually sells around 1,600 packs of toilet paper at most per day.But it received over 40,000 online orders over the two-day period.

Want to keep a close eye on CV? Here is something a colleague who works for our IT Department sent me:

This page is put together by a 17 year old tech wizard. It is updated each minute. It is the best information that I have found about the beer virus’ infection numbers.

https://ncov2019.live/

Computer whiz Avi Schiffmann, 17, spends much of his time these days constantly updating and improving the website, which automatically scrapes data from reliable sources from all over the world. The site, which originally updated every 10 minutes, now updates every minute to provide the latest statistics on the number of confirmed cases, serious cases, deaths, and recovered — both worldwide and in each country — in real time. The site also hosts an interactive Google map, a Twitter feed, travel advisories, information on the disease and its prevention, as well as tips for preparing for quarantine situations.

“I started working on this project at Christmastime, when there were fewer than 1,000 confirmed cases — all in mainland China,” said Schiffmann, a high school junior. “It was hard to get clear, concise, and accurate information on what was going on, and I wanted to do something to fix this.”

I don't think this is getting updated hourly any longer. It still shows Oklahoma with 1 case, and there are three confirmed.

I realize we want to take some precautions. Many of the actions in Oklahoma seem a bit extreme considering there are only 3 cases among the almost 4 million residents here. One is an airman that spent time in Seatle last week; one recently visited Italy. Don't know about the third one. Colleges and schools are shutting down. OU and OSU start spring break, and are telling students that all their classes for the two weeks after spring break will be on line.
