Having said that, could someone give me a definitive answer as to whether or not a 1969 Norwood Camaro could have been built without a Vin number stamped somewhere on the block. Thanks

The VIN stamping should be by the oil filter flange based on build date. The VIN should be stamped on both the engine and transmission, however some engines were missed or stamped too lightly to read.
