Thanks for the information. This is a Norwood Ohio car with a body build date of the 3rd week of April and the X77 on the body plate. Having said that, could someone give me a definitive answer as to whether or not a 1969 Norwood Camaro could have been built without a Vin number stamped somewhere on the block. Thanks [/ QUOTE ] The VIN stamping should be by the oil filter flange based on build date. The VIN should be stamped on both the engine and transmission, however some engines were missed or stamped too lightly to read.
