Default Re: WOW! The Find of a Lifetime! 1963 SD 421 Tempe

Guy who has the front clip wanted $60-70k when the car was thought to be lost forever. I'm guessing he'd want more now

Transaxle was sold to current owner for around $15k. I bet it has gone up, too?

Let's not talk about trying to get one of the Randy Williams repo radiators that can not be purchased I am told, so that means making another run? Big bucks.

Tiemann seemed to think $125-$150k plus parts for the resto. The big kicker is 2+ years before he could start...

The car needs to be saved, and it will, but it sure won't be cheap. I did the math and came up with about $400-500k, and about 4-5 years of a full time general contracting gig This is all based on buying the shell for $125k, and it wouldn't shock me if it goes for more in the eBay red mist!
