Would anyone else be interested in buying a 2010 Nickey Camary with a 427 LS7??
Perhaps through a Central Office Production Order you could get them installed at GM ![]()

I believed that the LS7 was what was planned for the SS Camaro. I have been told that it has been postponed or even cancelled completely. I guess we will find out eventually. The Camaro line workers were called back to work in early November. Production should be pretty well up to speed by now.

I was told the issues with the bankrupt supplier are solved and the cars are being built.

[/ QUOTE ] From Page one of this thread: The LS7 has always been in consideration for the Nickey Super Camaro. It seems that we may also have some other GM options available, such as the Cadillac CTS-V or ZR1 Corvette engines too. "I'll Provide More Details but this is a summary. Stage I: Mild Modifications to the Stock LS3 Stage II: Completely reworked LS3, (Stock V8 used in the Camaro). Stage III: This is a complete new/different LS7 427ci transplant." More than 1/2 of the Current orders are for Stage III 427 ci LS7 based Nickey Super Camaros. |

I thought the Stage III was going to be (from the 1st page of this thread):
"What we would like to do for the Stage III is a 700hp version of the new Corvette ZR1, LS9 Supercharged engine." I am not looking for 700hp I would like to have the LS7 with 505hp in a 2010 Camaro. It would be very cool to have a 2010 Nickey Camaro with a 427.....

How Streetable will the Phase III be, and I read the 427 will be "Normally Aspirated" ? I take it the Fuel Injection is not capable of feeding that much HP. I just placed my order with Denny for the Blue w/red stripe. I plan on Phase II, but I have an LS7 crate motor just sitting here that I planned for my 58 vette, but what if I gave it to you for a possible Phase III ? Curious on your thoughts.

Things have been in a state of flux but are changing for the positive, on a very regular basis. What we were told would not be available just a few months ago is now scheduled to be available; An Example is the LS9 engine assembly/crate engine.
I know that I would like to have a 427ci LS7 in my own Nickey Camaro. When I said naturally aspirated, I meant with no forced induction such as a blower or turbo etc. All the Stages we have been working on are Electronically Fuel injected. The stock Fuel injection system and stock intake manifold need to be upgraded in order to get a streetable 700plus hp with a huge and linear torque curve. This is one of the reasons Wegner Motor Sports has developed an exclusive Nickey Cam and Tunnel Ram type fuel injection intake. We are very fortunate to be working with some great components from GM! |
