OK, I've been one of the most severe critics of the styling misques (my opinion) on the Gen 5. But with that in mind I will say I applaud what you're doing with the car. The red stripe tires and NICKEY exclusive wheels are (again; in my extremely humble opinion), a home run, and the performance options you're outlining are exactly what is needed. Being an old-school kind of guy (i.e. Dinosaur) I would cast a vote for the normally aspirated Stage III package; holding more true to the historical lineage of the NICKEY cars.
Congrats Stefano, and Best Wishes for a successful Launch! ![]()

We are working with two Engine Builders, One here in the Midwest and One in California (Sound Familiar?)
![]() We Plan to Announce Both Builders and have an actual engine and some Dyno Sheets available at the Vette Fest. Since we don't have an actual car to work with, as of yet, the Roll Cage Option is not yet developed. I also would like to announce that Dennis Barker is the Sales Manager for the Nickey Camaros. He has filled his Dealerships allocation and will be referring any additional orders, to other Network Dealers. |

So would a stage two have a LS7?
That would be awesome with full exhaust and a cam. Another shop to consider would be Vengeance. They do awesome work for the LSX community. Several of my friends have had their cars built there and they definately know how to squeeze every bit of power out of the motors.

We are familiar with them and they seem to be a very competent builder.
The builders we will be using will have very strong and direct "Back in the Day" ties and are currently involved with leading edge technology in many current racing venues such as NASCAR. They have also been instrumental in the development of LS engine/technology and have worked directly with GM. I'll Provide More Details but this is a summary. Stage I: Mild Modifications to the Stock LS3 Stage II: Completely reworked LS3, (Stock V8 used in the Camaro). Stage III: This is a complete new/different LS7 427ci transplant. |

Since we are all part of the sYc family and some of the initial orders for Gen V Nickey Camaros have come directly from the Membership, I feel very honored to unveil more of the details, for the Nickey Camaro Project, here on the site.
As I type on the key board, the future of the "Big Three" Domestic Automobile MFGs is uncertain. Our business plan is very much tied, to the new 5th Generation Camaros. The best we can do is make plans based on what we believe, is most likely, to come to fruition. We have chosen 'Wegner Motor Sports' in Wisconsin, to be the Lead Engineers and Builders of the Nickey Camaro Power Plants. They have been intimately involved with many facets of Motorsports Racing as well as engine building, for more than 30 years. WMS was also instrumental in the design and development, of that which has ultimately evolved into, the LS engines. These engines are to be used in the Gen V SS Camaros. We have been communicating with the Bill Thomas Family, who has shared their support for our Camaro project. We will keep you informed on their potential future involvement with the Nickey Camaro project. Please stop by our Display, at the Chevy Vette Fest NEXT WEEKEND and meet the people behind the scenes, at Wegner Motor Sports. |
