I watched the 74 455 trans am run yesterday at steele ala.
Very nice car. I think he was running mid to high 12s.

I think a stick shift class should be added if the car count is high enough. Seems like the autos have a great big advantage.

I believe that was Jay D's dark blue T/A (F.A.S.T. class car), he netted an 11.84 @ 118+ before the day was over...!

Wow Rob, I didn't realize you were 1-1/2 mph faster than Pete. Was that your best mph?

Chris, roll that Nova out next year, it's been too long!

Umm, don't think so? I had a few over 118 that weekend...you'd think the scenario would be *opposite* wouldn't you? I can't figure it out, as Pete & I have talked about it for years...I know he's had some valvetrain issues that sucked some MPH from his car, that he's gotten back...but he'll out 60' me EVERY TIME, and I'll usually pick it up out the backdoor...I think his fewer pounds over the nose & softer bottom end power (camshaft) helps him out of the gate, and being quicker he effectively has less time to build mph, but...

Still a little confusing for me, especially when you figure the ZL1 has got 850 cfm to your 780 cfm.

I spoke with him and we talked about the change he made from stick to automatic and the dyno numbers he put down saturday. Very nice guy and a very nice car.

I would love to put a car together for this class. Nothing better than seeing two old musclecars sitting at the tree.
