Years ago they made it into a Hotel, and now used as dorms by the University of Akron. LQQKY here http://www.ci.akron.oh.us/Tour/QuakerSquare.htm The McNeil Akron Co. in the forground built tire making equipment and moulds for the Rubber Co's back in the day's when we actually made stuff. Of course tonite's sketch was of what else but our Peterboro' Quaker Oats plant w/ the silos and all...then the first thread I land on is this one!. Thanks for the history lesson Mike!. They crashed a train load (350-400) of new BMW's all headed to the Port of Charleston SC for Export a few years back here in SC... ouch!
