True 20 tickets are easier to sell. That would be 3000 tickets. What do you think the market will bear $100 tickets only 600 tickekts. Deep down I know cheaper tickets are the way to go. I just thought that the odds of winning with only 600 tickets would be enough to sell out quickly. $50 tickets for 1200 $40 for 1500? $25 tickets for 2400 total. Im just concerned that we sell out the tickets. Thats why I present the questions to the car guys. If there is anyone that would buy tickets it would be the people in the hobby. If I fail here then we are back to "any body wanna buy a Ticket for a harley?" BTW all suggestions are welcome good or bad. Opinions needed

So far I have informal commitments for 35-38 tickets sold at 100 that may change, should a cheaper price be set. thanks Paul

When the tickets are $20 each and a six pack for $100.00 you will get your hundred$ per ticket puchaser. ( my experience from recent fund raiser) Good Luck.

Preliminary meeting I had some guys are still a little skeptical. I suggested we run a test case. So Would I have more interest from this board If we limited the raffle to only 310 tickets. @$100. Would that peak anyones interest here? The car would be as is, not restored but a nice driver with the original interior, for that number of tickets. We have 125 guys that would buy their own ticket. I hope not to sell any to the general public. Just you guys on this board and classical pontiac, Yenko and of course friends, family and car club members of the members on the boards. If we do this, the car will be raffled off within 2 weeks of a sellout. That leaves only 185 tickets for sale. One of you guys may take this car home. If this works the guys would feel at ease doing it again with cheaper tickets and for a higher profile car and opening the raffle up to everyone. The majority of them are not real car guys, thats why they dont think its posssible. Again this is just a suggestion. if the feedback is good. Maybe one of you will have a nice convertible for christmas.
PHS on the car shows Liberty Blue Blue interior White convertible top 4 speed Covertible headlamps Power antenae ride and handling package Ralley Gauges In dash tach Power steering Power Brakes Posi rear Once again I have to get this approved by the membership. Just gauging interest so I can have some answers at our next meeting. For pix http://forums.performanceyears.com/f...748&page=2 |

You really only need 50 guys who will spend a $100 per ticket....those 50 guys each know another 4 or 5 guys who have the same resources. I have done a lot of fund raisers....group your approach to people who have similar interests and financial means. Let those other folks help you sell the tickets...Obviously car groups like this site are one possibility. Good luck....$100 chance on that car seems like a better bet than putting your $$ in Wall Street

I'll probably take one either way. Let us know when they're available and where to send the check to.
