It is really amazing the abuse that you take when you try to sell something special. Your doing the right thing by putting it all out in the open. I would list the ebay user name in your responses (as I have) and tell the person what
a idiot they are in your responses (as you are doing). At least with ebay you can put things out in public. I tried to sell a BB VETTE with a NOM small block motor in it on the Rochester Craigslist and I had a Woman tell me that she wanted to KILL me because I was being a scammer. True Story. It is amazing just how wrong the self professed experts can be? Wrong Car, Wrong code and wrong dates. Trying to compare the dates and VIN of a regular 1969 Corvette to the L88 for sale

That can't be a level 1 survivor car! I saw it going down the dragstrip at St. Louis the beginning of the month!!!
