Rome !

Thousands of tons of marble has been removed during the years, and used in other buildings in Rome. There is a small area to the right in the picture where they have reconstructed the seats inside the Colosseum. There was marble all around the place up to the highest level, the fourth, which was built of wood.
70.000 people could attend the amphitheatre one day. Some days as many as 5.000 animals where killed.

I have just a few more that I´d like to share. First a cool biker in Rome who put his thumb up when I took the photo. I believe it was a Harley ?

There are som good coffee shops in Rome, and I got my fair share of donuts there.

We also went something like 15 miles outside Rome to a small town in the surrounding mountains, called Tivoli. There we found this nice little castle that I would love to own.

Our main reason for going to Tivoli was Villa d´Este with its 16th-century park, with water everywhere.
