Just curious,what proof exists, which determines that the clone has the real engine from #62?

I saw this car @ the 07 Detroit Autorama, stunning restoration by the way.
I thought the owner told me #62 was destroyed at some time in it's life ?? I thought that was how the engine became available ? Do not take any of this as gospil. Does anyone know what happedend to #62 Mike ![]() |

It was restored and sold by Ed Cuneen. It did not have the original engine. The ZL1 is now in Texas I believe.
I really like the clone and have interest if the engine is the real deal. |

Question. It looks like the rocker is blacked out, but as an X11, should it have the wheel opening white double pin stripe?
