My 1969 Z/28 and my 1969 SS 350 nova are both November of 1968 builds. Both are on the passenger side. I never saw a 1969 Chevy with a drivers side alternator. At least I don't remember seeing one.

[ QUOTE ]
If I may...... are you questioning the alternator location because the car has an Oct 68 build date? [/ QUOTE ] That is exactly what I was asking. I think you guys have answered my question. I was looking at a car that is an October 68 build and it had the alt. mounted on the drivers side similar to the 68 style. I wasn't sure if the switch over happened at the beginning of the 69 model year or if there was a transition period. Sounds like all 69's had passenger side alternator mounting. Thanks, Mike |
