PJ [/ QUOTE ] Remember back in Auto Shop one of the first things the teach you is NOT TO SMOKE around a battery!!! a leaking battery only needs a spark to blow ITSELF up. Most likely a bad cable arced when you turned the key. [/ QUOTE ] A spark from anywhere under the hood might have done it, if the battery is leaking fumes that's what ignites. To be super safe leave your hood up untilyou start the car so there is fresh air all around.
