One of our local dealers is selling them at sticker and they are leaving as fast as they are delivered. Another dealer about 20 miles away wants a ton over sticker and they have 4 SRTs sitting in their showroom as of this afternoon. People just walk in and laugh when the salesman shows them the markup. That dealer is also next door to two other large dealerships that just went out of business in the past 3 months. Ya think he'd get the hint? ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Ya gotta love the guys who are trying to pull the "market adjustment" deal! ![]() ![]()

Guess what? The 2008 version of "market adjustment" is when people stop buying your cars and taking your crap and you go out of business.

Do a "completed items" search on ebay of the 100+ Challengers SRTs that have gone through and print out the results and bring them to your dealer just to rub his nose in it. None of them are selling. A couple have actually sold under sticker at 41K - 43K.
I would wait a few months til the 6 speeds come out and get a regular R/T model with the 6-speed, 380-horse engine. Looks just like the SRT but without the hokey fake carbon fiber hood stripe. |

Also if you opt to wait for the 09 and the R/T with the 5.7 380hp HEMI as I am also, you will get the lifetime powertrain warranty. It is not available on the 6.1 425 hemi in the limited production run.

Oh, and waiting for the 09 R/Ts gets you no gas guzzler tax, also. That's about $2500 saved.

Went to the Jackson Outlets show this past Friday and saw four new Challengers there; three orange and one black. Nice cars but didn't really blow me away; they are much bigger and bulkier than I would have expected. Can anyone tell me why the new cars have started to be so "slab sided"? The Challenger is this way and the new Camaro has the slab sided look.
