I'm with Pete - A max of one or two posts in the Classified section at any given time per non-member. If they want to post more, they have the option of either deleting a post or paying up. That will allow a non-member with a rare car to post it here and limit the flippers looking for free advertising.

I like the two post idea. That way the orig owner can still show up and sell his ZL1 that none of us knew about and not have to pay.

I see nothing wrong with it unless the privilege is abused. It would just have to be policed so it doesn't get out of hand.

is there a way to make it so profiles are filled out in detail at least to Tom/Rob before they can post at all so we know who we are dealing with if things go wrong??

Ebay requires it. I just won't deal with an unknown.

Only problem with that is their is nothing which can validate the information is true. Someone can say their name is Spongebob Squarepants and a field validation would not capture that let alone fake adresses and phone numbers.
