My '55 was built in Los Angeles and has street machine history dating back to at least the early 1970s in Long Beach, CA. Car also has original 1963-issue black CA plates so I stuck with SoCal specific decals plus two San Jose (south SF Bay Area) decals (Speed City and Babbitt Bearing). Oh, and I couldn't resist the '65 Indy Nationals decals.


"Speed City" decals (below) came from old speed shop in San Jose, CA. The Hot Rod Magazine decal came from the 1st annual HRM Drags at Riverside in 1964 and has black lettering that doesn't show up in this photo.


I took thses pics right after applying the decals and have since carefully cleaned off all the decal adhesive residue.

Cool decals Bill -

I remember having these as a kid - I had sent for them from ads in the back of Hot Rod! It seemed the only
places you could get decals from were west coast shops
