Is the VIN readable in the upper right? If not, I'm not sure the rest is all that important.

This sheet looks rather typical for the Arlington Plant to me as well. Not uncommon for Arlington sheets to show up between the floor board and tar paper underlayment. That's what I believe gave this one it's brick oven pizza look. It wouldn't look like that if it came out of the rear seat.

I'd still want to know how and why the build sheet caught on fire?

Stefano,
I don't think the buildsheet was ever on fire. A lot of Arlington sheets look like this because of where they turn up. Most likely it's from a reaction between the buildsheet paper and the tar paper underlayment where a lot of this plant's buildsheets are found. They are usually between the floorboard and underlayment. I'd guess the floorboard where this sheet was most likely found was pretty surface rusty from the look of this sheet. Chris |
