I always thought of a Z28 as a road racing/handling package more than a 1/4 mile screamer... Not that its any "lesser" of a package than an SS, just developed for a different purpose.

[/ QUOTE ] This is right on the money as the Z28 was so much more than a hot motor and really a whole package designed to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series...it's success on the street & strip a bonus!.  ~ Pete
