" date codes are as follows 4 of them are K19 6 5 and the spare for the trunk is K19 6 6 "
can someone help me decipher the codes of this wheel? I have what I think is the orig spare in my trunk XT K19 but I didnt see the 6 6 or 6 5. I will be looking for 4 more in the future and I'd like to be an informed buyer. |

Should be 2 numbers, one on each side of the valve stem hole. Sometimes they were stamped real faint and sometimes the stamper ended up in the valve stem hole itself (lazy assembly line worker) if it has the original paint on it, leave it alone. My 69 has the original fathom green XT and firestone redline still on it and you can barely make out the date. That's a nice car, enjoy it

Then next to the valve stem to the left is a number 1-12 this is the month, then to the right of the valve stem is a number 1-31 that is the day of the month. K1965 = June 5th 1969. ![]()
