significant car or shall i say cars would be any 55 Chevy with a V-8. had that V-8 not been introduced in 55, none of the others would have been where they are today

As far as a model of car it would be hard to argue the "significance" of the 65 Chevelle Z16. That is what turned street muscle into a big block frenzy.
A particular example of this car would be the prototype which is right here on this site with Dave M.
