Thanks for sharing this cool piece of fading American history..
Any of these remaining WW2 Vets deserve a BIG...

Marty's customer buddy on the bench looks kinda' like Gordy Lightfoot!.

Man, that is really cool! I love old places like that. It is unfortunate that the barber trade is dieing on a daily basis. I go to one of those old Barber shops by where I live in Cicero, IL. The Barber, Louie, has been cutting hair on that street since 1951. Unfortunately most of his customer base has died or moved away because of the change in the neighborhood. Every time I go now (which is every 2 weeks) I fear that he will be gone.

Here is my little Nephew in the barbers chair.. As you can see he is not a happy camper and I didn't help much because I laughed at him for crying.. I'm such a caring Uncle . I started taking him with me to the Barber shop and he actually looks forward to it now, shakes the barbers hand and talks to him like the rest of the old men sitting around do... Of course he talks about Sponge Bob Square Pants and dinosaurs instead of aches/pains and politics like the old men sitting around do.... You can't see it in the picture but there were some crocodile tears popping out of those baby blues... Again, I laughed at his butt for it

Cute pic! He looks like the little dude (Ralphie's brother) in the movie "A Christmas Story".
