Was there for Corvette show and left this morning (Sunday) and did not attend Survivor show. I did however see a 61 300G being unloaded and went over it. I would say it was the nicest early letter car extant.

Here's the 61 300G

Really nice orginal 1966 Hemi Charger

Very nice survivor 1969 Chevelle fluffed up by our very own Dan Vasic (Post Sedan)

Very very nice 1968 Cutless "Ram Rod 350"

Randy,

Thanks for the Great Pics.....we can always count on you. Bruce`s L78 Chevelle looked great...its just one of those cars that has it all. I really enjoy working on it.

Love the 68 Ram-Rod Olds!

Dan.

Randy,

Very nice photos. Thanks for taking the time.

Is this going to be an annual event? I'd like to try to get there next year.

Thanks.

Phil Woj.

This was the first year for this event and the turnout was exceptional with about 100 cars participating. The plan is for this to be an annual event, and possibly a stand alone event at some point. The cars were spectacular with a few original owners participating. This year was part of a rollout plan, the mission was to measure the level interest and educate all who participated along with spectators.

I will mention a couple of cars that were "like new" 68 Shelby 500KR, 73 Formula, 69 Lemans blue chevelle, 60ish Black T-Bird and a host of others.

All the car owners received a participation award and some received a pre-cerification award, stating that the car would likely achieve survivor status. I believe next year that survivor certification will begin. A lot depends on David Burroughs getting the judging teams selected and certified.

The venue is excellent, but the forecasted weather probably kept some from participating. As always it was nice to see some of the great people from this site and I thank those who participated.

....Certified SURVIVOR Judges certify that the car meet this set of standards:

1. Is 20 years or older

2. Completed a 20+ miles road test within one hour

3. Over 50% unrestored, un-refinished, and unaltered the way it left the factory in at least three of the four areas:
a. Exterior (Paint, Trim, Glass)
b. Interior / Trunk
c. Under Hood
d. Chassis (Suspension, Frame, Wheels)

4. Over 50% of the original finishes (paint, fabrics, plating) remain good color references for restoration of a car just like it.

Awesome looking cars at the show! Personally... I think that allows for a little too much touch-up on a "survivor"
But the good news is that a couple of my cars still qualify!
