Although I missed it AGAIN...I know this is the best show on earth. Watching it come together here on the board..I knew it would be another milestone show. Congrats to you Bob and all the SYC gang who share their passion for cars , friends and family.

I guess they gotta get rid of that height requirement to get into the show or Gags will never get in...

A pleasure indeed. A great weekend with great people. I can't speak for everyone but I know the ones in our circle will agree with me. We attend a limited number of shows each year. LaHarpe and the SCR are a 'must' on the list. And now, due to the involvement........... and true friendship of Bob and Vicki Ashton, CVF is on that list as well. Championship Auto Shows hit a homerun when they signed this couple. It's a rare combination when you find people who are outstanding organizers AND true car people. The proof in the pudding is the resounding rejuvenation of CVF.

We return to most of these events not because of the cars or the awards, but because of the friends we see precious few times each year. Thank you to all the folks Bob mentioned above. I'm happy to say I've met nearly every one and proud to call most of you friends.

So, to relate what most all of us feel.............. Thank YOU Mr. Ashton, for what you've done, continue to do,..................... and for being who you are. We'll be back if you'll have us.

The show went off without a hitch (none that I heard of) and was a great success. We all had a blast and got to see most of our friends again though we were unable to spend much time with them. The verbal and e-mail comments I have received have been overwhelming and made it all worth the effort. We would love to do the Showcase again but maybe not till November of 2009 to give people a chance to get some new cars done and build an even better display.

Maybe Mark could even use this as the unveiling of the Pilot car to Mr. P. as it is only a couple of weeks before the scheduled date anyway.

HUGE thanks to Bob and Vicki for making this the best indoor show in the midwest.
