Bill, not to try and turn this into an NCRS thread, but I agree with you. As a modifier of my other post, I will say that they have a lot of hard working and dedicated members who want the best for the cars. IF they can pick out a reproduction part on a car, it will be noted as so and originality points will be deducted. They also have to deal with the monster they created. In other words, many bogus cars have passed Top Flight judging and people are referring to those cars as "NCRS Certified" to gain a higher value. A lot of people have the perception that the award certifies the car to be original and they look at it as though it was real documentation. The award simply means that, in the judges' view, the car appears the way an original one should appear. Two identical cars - one real and one a clone - would score the same. IF the judges are fooled, it's unfair to hold that against them or the organization. But I also feel it is unfair to history to hold the cars to judging criteria that may be flawed and does not allow for production mistakes or anomalies.
