Man, you guys are killing me . . . but hey, enough about my misery.
I'm no expert, but is this car really worth anywhere near that kind of money?  Last time I checked, 850 large was a big chunk of change. "Rare" or limited numbers doesn't always translate to valuable.

Those inner fenders were an option on those cars and I believe an expensive one if I recall correctly. A fella I knew had a 66 goat that had those and they were listed on the build sheet I believe...

If you tilt your head (or your monitor) sideways when viewing the GTO eBay ad, it looks like a $26.33 option on the window sticker. I've never seen them on a GTO before, either. I learn something new every day. I guess I can mentally shut down for the day now.

I'm sure it's just to advertise it and gage interest.850k is kind of silly. And yes Thom McAn is gone. I used to by my PRFC's from them.

It is typically the first thing you look for on an HO car. And yes the HO was a hotter version of the 400. As far as price, he's close............to being on crack. John

Red fender liners were never a part for a HO car. Has nothing to do with it. They are a very rare option. Only 1% of GTO'S had them. I do agree on the price. It could have been bought for a little over 100k last fall. I thought that was too much!! GO FIGURE
