I forgot the camera at home. Verne must have a photo or two of his blue '09 somewhere.

I've posted a couple pics before but here it is. It’s a one owner 29Kmi. Original engine trans and rear. He had a fender bender in the mid '70s and decided to repaint the whole car with lacquer and clear. There were a bunch of little scuffs in the clear along with some legs and antennae left from summer evening flying critters, so it needed a "haircut"; 2000 wet then buffing and polishing. He also had the underside of the hood painted Nassau Blue, so Ronnie took care of that too.
This is the "before" pic. When I get it back out in the sun, I'll take a couple more to show how it turned out. By the way Steve, those are the old ETs (15x7) that we talked about.

Nice looking car Verne!!

But shouldn't the chrome reverse be in the back, and the mags on the front?

Lets see some after shots!

Looks great!.
Where's that picture of you and sweet Linda in front of your car Verne...the one where her thong is blowing by in the wind?.

Joe, you're too much!
Actually, those "chrome reverses" (believe it or not) are legit RPO 14x6 chrome wheels offered in '64. The car has had a number of different "rollers" on it for various reasons. Right now it's sitting on a set of chrome rallys from a buddy of mine because he doesn't have space for them and I had to get the ETs dismounted for some curb rash repairs.
The photo of Lovely Linda was with the convertible and you can always find it on the Member's Rides thread of that car.
Steve and I were on a mission, so I didn't take the time to look it over as closely as I wanted. I can't wait till it can come out in the sun again for a good close look. When I first got there I ran the backside of my finger over the top of the quarter panel and it couldn't have felt smoother! Ronnie said, "keep you hands off that car"! You see, Ronnie has already taken "ownership" of it in his mind. I can't say enough about how well Ronnie took care of it, just as though it was his own (which he plans on). It's not perfect, but it's as good as it can be. I can't wait to get this car back together. I just hope my health holds out and I can get it to Indy in July at the NIA convention.
And Sam, I'll never own a car as cool as your Savoy!

Finally had a good day to switch cars in garages, so I dusted it off and really checked it over. Overall, very happy, considering the paint is a little over 30 years old. Still have a couple little places that could use some polishing and glazing. 100% better than it was.
