[ QUOTE ]
Jim, A friend of mine had a very similar 68 convertible, here in NJ back in the late 80's early 90's. At the time it was triple black, 427/425 4 speed bench seat. Came to find out it was originally red with white gut and top, non-SS.COPO (At the time it seemed crazy to spend the $$$ to change it back) He was able to track down the first owner in WV who confirmed all this. Another one he should never have let get away. Seeing and reading about yours had me thinking they were one-in-the-same....with the NJ reference ![]() [/ QUOTE ] I spoke with the NJ owner and the man who sold it to him in San Diego, and from what I know, it is original, but I am still waiting to hear from someone who knows what Paul Harvey would say "The rest of the story". I figure, it is what it is, and I will just have to enjoy it till I get the background I am looking for. A 425 horse convertible, hummm makes me think a 502 (or bigger) would be ![]() Thanks for the reply. Jim
