Dennis, I agree with you the bright trim work looks nice with the vinyl top. But the bright trim work around the windows came only with the custom exterior and exterior decor packages RPO ZJ2 & RPO ZJ5 respectively. My car did not have either option originally therefore, no moldings.. She is just a "Plain Jane".
Steve's car does have period correct TTs on it..

Sam, I am not sure where the Moomaw family is from.. I think they were mainly from around Tuscarawas County, Sugarcreek area..

Thanks guys for the nice compliments!!

Rich

Rich,
I actually like the look of your car without the brite trim. Plain Jane does it for me.

Steve,
Cool wheels. Wanna do some more? I have a set of vintage 14 x 7s too. Slated to go on a White '69 Nova soon!

Actually, the three moldings; B80 = 'Roof Drip Moulding', B84 = 'Body Side Moulding' & B90 = 'Door and Window Frame Moulding' could be had individually, in pairs, or all three. The Custom Ext. option got you the rockers and tailpanel, & possibly the side gills.

A vinyl top car only guarantees you the drip rail molding, nothing else.

Check your trim tag, bottom row, for a single digit number. That will tell you how many of the 3 moldings your car came with.

Man those cars look good! The wheels and tire combo on both look pretty killer to me! Steve, I love that color! Both cars Day-2ed perfectly IMO.

Thanks for the info. Marlin.. I am certain my car only came with the drip rail moldings and nothing else. I know pretty much the full history behind the car and have pictures of it dating back to the early 70s from the second owner who bought it in 1972 from the original owner. Luckily I was able to track this fella down and speak with him about the car and its history.. When he bought it it was not "screwed with" and was all there as far as its originality, "Plain Jane" look with dog dish caps & the 14x7 XT steel wheels..

Thanks again fellas for the nice comments and compliments!!

It'd be cool to have an old school 8 track player in there like this one!

8 tracks are cool.. I have been looking at some old ones on e-bay.. I thought about putting one in.. The original Chevy ones are soo big and heavy.. I have some old cool 8 tracks to play in there also.. Some James Gang, Eagles, Genesis, Crosby Stills Nash and Young.. etc...
