I too believe it to be an Auguat 68 assembly made for 1969 production,based on the #306 sidecover & no A-B-C initial following it.They probably assembled a bunch of these very early on,closing in on the final made number of 44999.
Tom Can you double check those digits?.Specifically the CC9,as I have some idea about the rest of it,but not certain. |

Are you sure the first "c" in cc9 or ct9 represent Chevrolet and not counter case or counter trans...
The reason I'm asking is replacement cases and complete trans were also used for in Buick's, Old's and Pontiac's... I believe the trans in question is an Aug. 1968 build date for a 1969 model year car that was put into the parts system after assembly... I have a large selection of "cc" and "ct" cases... Crash |
