Default Re: Original owner picture 67 Yenko/Harrell Camaro

-----Brian,,,Is there a former owner of that yellow car by the name of George Weathered??? George found one of the Jack Douglass yellow COPO Yenko cars in Downers Grove back when Classic Motors was located in one of Billy Jacobs buildings in Joliet. Before George worked for us at Classic he was a service writer at Jack Douglass Chevrolet for quite awhile. He did a pretty decent job of restoring the car for the time (1980ish). The one thing I remember is that he took brand new factory quarters (there wasnt anything else) and cut them about an inch down from the fender peak to install them. The reason Im asking all the questions is that George put the Yenko stripes on even though the car didnt come delivered with them. George also was the first person I knew that had Yenko emblems reproduced. Ive often wondered what happened to that car.........Bill S
