You don't see many new GTO's cause it's winter.

The Challenger is supposed to weigh around 4000 lbs with 425HP. My '02 SS Convertible weighs 3770 with me (165lbs) in it and it ran 13.43 at 102.78 in the 1/4. Now some SS 6 speeds were running 12.90's but they were hard tops and they weigh a lot less than a vert. Will a SS smoke a new Challenger? Probably not but it will easily keep up.

Just my $.02

A buddy of mine bought a brand new 02 SS t top car, full power, with slp package and it went 12.93 @113 stone stock and put down 345 to the wheels on a Dyno Jet.

A friend of mine just saw one at the local dealer here in suffolk Va. Fully loaded orange one. Salesman took him to a conditioned room in the back. He told him to leave his cellphone in the office. Owner was picking it up that night under darkness. He said the guy paid 88k for it.

------This isnt unusual up here, but I saw a new Challenger in Port Huron, Mi. at least six weeks ago at a local 3rd teir pro-hockey game. It was black with black semi-gloss graphics and had a manufacturers plate on it. He passed by too quickly to get a real good look, but it sure did sound GRRRRRRR8888........Bill S
