Wow this is terrible news.
I met him briefly at SCR,and had no idea he was that ill. My sympathies & condolences to his family,and all those close to him. You were a good guy Jim. Rick |

Just this past reunion...Jim was telling me the story of how he lucked upon finding the engine for his car....hearing of a COPO engine, scraping the VIN area and
He was a true enthusiast and a fantastic gentleman to talk cars with. He will be missed by many. |

Sad, sad news...my sincere condolences to the Shockley family. But what a super, SUPER guy...talking to Jim, you knew he had this hobby thing figured out, that it was to be FUN, and he made it that much more fun for us!
I think of Jim every time I fire up our Y-Camaro, as I stare into that tach he gave us...he's been along on lots of low 12 second blasts and probably never knew it! God speed, Jim... ![]() |
