I have an original on my desk now and just took photos of the original off our survivor 70...they both have the flat rivets.....it also appears if there is a slight recess (almost a coutersunk area) at each fan bolt hole. May just be from being bolted on the engine but it looks like it is machined into the part. Maybe I can swap a 5 blade fan for an 837 alternator...or 499 distributor....

I was watching this fan also, of course with no intention of bidding, little much for my pocketbook right now.. BIG MONEY for a fan!!! I guess these things are just rare pieces just like the LS6/L78 dual snorkel air cleaners that command these kind of prices!! They were taken off/disposed of back in the day and replaced with flex fans for racing.. I was a little concerned over the feedback from the seller.. Did anyone look at this?? Seems there were some other unhappy buyers of parts..
