First film with Maureen O'Hara and the Duke was Rio Grande (1950)..this was part of Ford's cavalry trilogy...next came my favorite The Quiet Man, then Wings of Eagles, Mclintock, and the last one Big Jake. She was a true friend to the Duke for many years. When he was in his last days she spoke to Congress to ask that he receive the Congressional Gold Medal for his contribution to America. She was a class act then and is still one today.
