I know the guy pretty well. He would sell it I am sure.
He bought it along with a few others. A guy had some cars but only wanted to sell them all at once. He wanted a 68 Camaro and his friend wanted the 70 Nova.
He loves the old school stuff.

I could see if it were an optioned car. Maybe an RS, SS or Z. The nice thing about a 70 is they still had the 12 bolt and low back buckets with headrests. This car has none of them.
Where was I when you guys were trying to unload these cars? lol

One of my MAJOR pet peeves is when someone calls a 70-73 Camaro a Split bumper car. The split bumper was part of the RS package only! It could have been a plain RS, an RS/SS or RS/Z28. People just don't listen or care.

Not all 1970 Camaros had 12 bolts. The SS and Z/28 were the only ones.
The 1970 Camaro in my opinion is the most sought after of the second generation. The difficultly in restoring these cars is that there are a lot of one year only parts on the car I.E seats, steering wheel, hood springs, one year only 12 bolt if SS or Z/28, rear defroster, the rear package tray is one year only as well. Early cars also had a different driver side inner fender.

Honestly the price is a little high but it's worth alot more then $1000-1500. Since it is missing a lot of the original parts I would offer him $2500-3000.
