Ed
I thought the export and Yenko tag for 68 were the same? The reason you and Sam and Carl from Chicago had such a good time Sat. night was because I lent you my private waitress, Bionca. Seriously it was a blast. I had to come home to recuperate.

I'll dig for the pic...I think it was one of the export cars that had sunroof...
I thought export cars are usually not legal to register in the US? Does not make sense for these Yenko cars to have them if that is the case...Yenko did the conversions..140 mph speedos were legal..What's the connection ? I'm starting to wonder why the Chevrolet Div. and Detroit Mich notation..Again, special order or something ....Export may just be a coincidence as well..Steve |

I was wondering why she had all those dollar bills sticking out from her borderlines! ![]() ![]()

Now i know why Dana asked us if we had a bunch of singles on us when he let us in the bidding area
. Yes the export and yenko tags are the same - the magic mirror was also supported by the ACC stamp also on the trim tag.

I spoke too soon on the export being different....I can't confirm that. I was thinking of the "Made in Canada" tag pictured in the Fisher Body books...
I did find a neat picture of a 200KPH export speedo. I thought I saved a pic of the tag also. What I do find interesting about this tag is the similarity to the 59-64 "second design" tag. Same design of tag, but, the difference being Style and Trim are now ST and TR. In the CBTN book it mentions using this tag on certain Chevrolets thru 66 even though a third and fouth design were introduced in 64.I don't know a thing about 59-64 Chevy's ....Maybe Vern has some insight on the various tag useage early on.... I don't recall codes following the ACC on these 68 tags...Do any of the known 68 Yenkos show a code? Steve |
