Andy,just remember not to try and slide the decal off the paper with your index finger before it is properly moistened ,thusly ripping the decal in two. Ive done that many times..If it gets too wet is slimy and hard to set in place without rolling up.

Yep, what King said. If it does crack or tear just STOP and carefully add moisture and keep going. I've had decals all wadded up and on their way to the toilet for a final swim and then saved them with careful effort and loads of patience. Just don't let the decal come off of the backing in the water. If it does, just slide the paper under the decal in the water and get it back onto the paper.

I add just a few drops of dishwashing liquid (I like Dawn),to the warm water too.
It aids in lubricating the decal to slide more uniformly off the backing paper.
I've found other brands of dishwashing liquid to have too heavy an oil content in them that show once the transfer has dried on the glass.This gives them small distracting rainbow spectrums throughout when the sunlight hits them.
