Thanks all, for the advice and attitude refreshment.

Aside from changing my ways about giving a refund before I get a part back, probably the best one is to simply "not sweat the small stuff" at the moment.

Although it pisses me off that someone would be that way, $50 isn't going to keep my kids from eating. I get just irritated when I come across people that act like a jerk and don't do what most common folks would simply see as the right thing to do. I try to treat everyone the same way I expect to be treated.

Right now, the guy still has both the money and the part, and can't seem to make a decision on sending it back.

Now this guy is getting more flaky on me.

He posts negative feedback on Ebay, then resends the payment and says he will keep the part to resell for a profit (I'm fine with that), and now he's suddenly opened up a PayPal dispute saying the part didn't match the description and is demanding a refund.

Any suggestions on how to deal with someone like this?

make sure you have no dough in the paypal account, have heard many people have there cash snatched..then he gets the part and gets paid twice, before you sort it out...present a copy of the refund check to paypal to the knob from you and you should be fine, wont due much but see if ebay will ban him.

If you take all of your money out of paypal, they will go into your bank account and take it out. Read your pay pal contract....
