I have not been hosed yet, but I am sure my time will come too. It's probably not a great idea to post feedback just on payment, like in your case, now you might not have any recourse.
When I send out something I will send the buyer a notice that there stuff is on the way, and ask that they post positive feedback if all is well, I tell them that is my heads up there happy, and I state I will post there feedback ASAP.
Some people are just JERKS no matter what.
